Brian K. Feldner, 58, of Plover, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013, at St. Michael's Hospital following a long illness. He died with peace and dignity, surrounded by his family.

Brian was born September 23, 1954 in Wisconsin Rapids to Vernon and Martha (Wilczynski) Feldner. He married his best friend and love of his life, Cindy Choudoir, on September 17, 1988 in Stevens Point. She survives. The Feldners would have been married 25 years in September.
Brian graduated from Assumption High School in Wisconsin Rapids in 1972, and attended classes at UW-Stevens Point. He worked for Haessly & Haessly construction and Bassuener excavating and construction as a heavy equipment operator. Most recently, he was employed by the State of Wisconsin as a petroleum products inspector until retiring in 2011 after 20 years.
Brian enjoyed camping with his wife, close friends and cousins, traveling to various parks throughout Wisconsin in his RV. He treasured summer days at the family cottage on Lake Katherine in Wisconsin's northwoods. Brian also was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, and enjoyed watching almost anything on the Military Channel. He had a special connection to animals, especially cats and dogs. In recent months he took great satisfaction volunteering to care for the animals at the Humane Society of Portage County, and the staff loved to have him as part of their team. He had many special longtime friends in his life and valued his relationships with them. Brian will also be remembered for his sense of humor, his smile, and his kindness to others.
In addition to his wife, Brian is survived by his sister, Claudia (Bill) Morrissey, Sun Prairie; sister-in-law, Karen Feldner, Nekoosa; 15 nieces and nephews; 13 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha (Wilczynski) Feldner, his father, Vernon Feldner, and beloved brother, Tom Feldner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in memory of Brian Feldner to the Humane Society of Portage County, 3200 Iber Lane, Plover, WI 54467 (on-line: http://www.hspcwi.org).

Deepest sympathy to Cindy and all of the Feldners for your loss. Brian's passing at such a young age is so sad. I remember him walking with Tom when he was a toddler. Martha liked to put a bow tie on him :-)

Cindy, I was so fortunate to have Brian come into my life. As a new inspector, he was a mentor to me. I learned a lot from him. He also got me started on computers, RV's, and diesels. He was an inspiration to me. I'll miss our regular phone calls. Julie and I will do whatever we can for you. Unfortunately we can't make it Saturday because of another service in Minnesota, but you will be in thought.

So sorry to hear of Brian's passing. I worked with Brian as a State Petroleum Inspector but in the Madison office for 20 years and when we hestitated to learn computers Brian dove right in. He was a guru at some of our petroleum testing equipment and when there was trouble Brian was there to help. Sorry for your loss and today I'm thinking about all the great things he did for the State of WI.

When I first started working with the State of Wisconsin, Brian was one person I could always depend on for his knowledge of petroleum products and their storage. I was inspired by his dedication to the Petroleum Inspection Program. I could consider Brian my mentor as he was never to busy to answer my questions. It was a pleasure knowing him and my prayers are with his family and friends.
