Hilt, Alma F.

Alma F. Hilt, 87, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte.

Alma was born to Chris and Elizabeth (Hartjes) Joosten on January 29, 1926, in Rudolph, Wisconsin. Alma was united in marriage to John Martinson in April of 1947 and was blessed with 4 children. She worked as a nurse's aide in Nekoosa, WS for many years and later married Robert Munger in June of 1965. After Roberts's death in 1974, she moved to Port Charlotte, Fl. Alma worked as a nurse's aide at St. Joseph Hospital in Port Charlotte for numerous years. There she met Leo Hilt whom she later married in May of 1979. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa, WS and also at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Alma had a wonderful and exciting life. She touched the hearts of everyone she met. As wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great- grandmother, she will forever be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Survivors include her daughter, Sue Martinson of Port Charlotte; 2 sons, Chris (Cathy) Martinson of Tampa, FL and Russell (Barbie) Martinson of St Petersburg, FL; her step- children, Leonard, Larry, Lois, Laura, Lorraine, and Luann; a brother, Johnny (Barbara) Joosten of Idaho; 3 sisters, Joyce (Rhody) Venckunas of WS, Judy Lasley of TX and Delma Bertram of WS; 7 grandchildren, Ashley, Jonathan, Wendy, Michael, Taylor, Amelia and Katie, and 6 great-grandchildren, Alex, Kayia, Chance, Scarlett, Cody, and Natash Kelley. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leo K. Hilt, son, Edward, sisters, Anita and Marian and brothers, Bud, Norman, Bob and Jim. Alma's final years were blessed by the loving attention of her care givers, Bernice Kwak, Leonard Hilt, & Sue Martinson.

Visitation will be held 12:00PM-1:00PM, Friday, September 27, 2013 at Roberson

Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30PM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte, FL.

Friends may visit on-line at www.robersonfh.com to sign the memorial book and extend condolences to the family. Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel.

She was one tough woman, overcoming a triple by pass to live an adventurous life for many years following. She was a wonderful grandma, funny, sweet, caring and when told I love you always answered "I love you more." She was a joy and we will miss her so much!
