Angeline E. Zalewski

Angeline E. Zalewski of the Town of Hull, Stevens Point died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Point Manor Assisted Living in Stevens Point. Angeline was born January 19, 1925 in the Town of Hull to the late William and Veronica (Wawrzyniak) Ostrowski.

Her marriage to Thomas C. Zalewski took place on July 4, 1942 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. After their marriage the couple settled on the family farm homestead and had lived there for nearly seventy years. Her husband died December 22, 1999.

Angeline was a member of St. Casimir Church Rosary Society and a proud member of the church choir for over 70 years. She enjoyed singing Polish hymns, gardening, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include children Lorraine (James) Bretl, Barbara (Gary) Borski and Richard (Susan) Zalewski; grandchildren Tracy (Andy Kenowski) Bretl, Craig (Brenda) Bretl, Keith (Sheena) Bretl, Kerry Swoboda, Travis, Aaron and Derek Zalewski, Todd (Penny) Borski, Kim and Kelly Lutz and eight great-grandchildren. Further survived by three sisters, Henrietta (Greg) Zimmerman, Dorothy Shulfer and Agnes (Clarence) Kovalski, sister in law Shirley Ostrowski and brother in law Dominic Wroblewski.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Wallock, four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Saturday, April 6, 2013 at St. Casimir Catholic Church with Rev. Dennis Stanchik, officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call at St. Casimir Church from 9:00 am until time of mass. The Pisarski Funeral Home of Stevens Point is honored to be serving the family. In lieu of flowers a memorial in her name will be established at a later date.
