Donald E. Lund
Donald E. Lund, age 77, of Stevens Point, died at home, September 3, 2013 while under the care of his family and hospice.
Donald was born March 17, 1936 to the late Ernest & Joyce (Fifarek) Lund in Menominee, MI. His family moved to Marinette, WI where he attended grade school and graduated from high school. He later attended the State College of Whitewater, graduating with a degree in business administration.
Donald was inducted into the U.S. Marine Corps
June 15, 1954 and was honorably discharged June 14, 1956.
He married Bonnie Radtke on January 7, 1961 in Oconomowoc, WI.
Donald worked for IBM as a systems engineer for over 33 years. His career had him changing location about every two years until settling in Stevens Point. After semi-retiring from IBM, Donald was sought out by Wausau Insurance, where he worked for 6 more years, until retirement.
Donald will be remembered as an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed cheering on "the Pack" & UWSP basketball. In his earlier years, Donald coached girls softball, little league, basketball, and flag football; in addition to camping with his children. He was considered a math genius, as he had a photographic memory. Donald was family oriented and enjoyed helping out with family projects. In his later years, he relished watching NCIS.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie of Stevens Point; sons, Eric of Stevens Point, and Todd of Round Rock, TX; daughters, Beth (Craig) Paulson of Maple Grove, MN, Cheryl (Robert) Turany of Dripping Springs, TX; & Heidi (Bill) Tepp of Stoughton, WI. He is further survived by his 6 grandchildren, Ryan, Megan, Aaron, Sydney, Hannah, & Samantha.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, September 7, 2013 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Weigand officiating. A time of sharing memories will be held at the church from 9:00 am until the time of Service.

His family would like to express gratitude to Dr. Seth Fagbemi, oncologist of Marshfield Clinic, for his years of ministry to Don; Dr Shaw, Cardiologist; Dr. Ryan Andrews, family physician for many years, who has been caring and giving compassionate comfort to our family. We would also like to give thanks to Hospice for their outreach and support, especially Doris, Justin, & Bonnie.
