Ryskoski, Donald James
Donald James Ryskoski, 76, Green Bay, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013. Don was born in Stevens Point on October 9, 1936, to Vincent and Florence (Craig) Ryskoski.
In 1958, Don married Patricia Ann Fields at St. Leonard Catholic Church in Laona, WI. He began his teaching and coaching sports in Madison. They moved to Green Bay, in 1968 continuing his teaching and coaching career within the Green Bay Public School system until retiring in 1997. Don loved interacting with the kids, especially helping them recognize and make progress towards their full potential in life. "Effort is the key to success" was his phrase, used often with the kids. His passion for teaching was evidenced by him often saying… "I love my job and would not trade it for any other job in the world".
Don most enjoyed spending time with his family especially on Holidays, and at graduations, special events like Packer games, boating etc. He also loved sports, especially following the Green Bay Packers. The TV was almost always tuned to the sport event or sport news of the day.
Don was an amazing and thoughtful man, and will be deeply missed as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, father-in-law, uncle, friend, teacher and coach. He has touched the lives of so many that will continue to seek guidance from this very special angel.
