Elizabeth W. Anderson

Elizabeth W. Anderson, age 102, of Plover, died at Maple Ridge Assisted Living Center, January 8, 2013.

A Service, Commemorating Her Life, will be held 11:00 am, Friday, January 25, 2013 at The Springs United Methodist Church in Plover, WI with Rev. Howard Hintzman officiating. She will be laid to rest in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, MN.

Elizabeth was born March 4, 1910 to the late Gilbert & Katherine (Schall) Willson in Minneapolis, MN. She graduated from Central High School in St. Paul and went on to St. Cloud Teachers College in MN.

During her college years she met her sweetheart, Donald Edgar Anderson. They were married April 14, 1934 in Minneapolis.

Their early marriage years were spent in Chicago, IL. In March 1938 they welcomed daughter, Edith, into their life. Two years later they moved back to Minneapolis and September 1942 Alice was born.

Elizabeth spent her earlier years as a happy homemaker. The couple moved to Stevens Point in1973.

Elizabeth will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, who relished family gatherings. She was an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, the Shoe String Players, and St. Michaels Hospital Auxiliary. After moving to Plover, Elizabeth became a dedicated member of The Springs United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Edith Lee & Alice Anderson; grandchildren, Lance, Lamont, Todd, David, & Russell; and great-grandchildren, Briella, Lucas, Dillon, Landon, Ryan, & Andrew.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Donald in 1974.

All of life is a journey and over the years, Elizabeth has "seen it all." Life has not only been good to her, but she has had, what most would call- "A Charmed Life".
