Emma Ransom, 89, of Plover, WI, ended her journey on earth Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Mapleridge Memory Care, Plover, Wisconsin, of Alzheimer's Disease.

She was born on August 30, 1923, in Mandan, ND, to Frank and Emma (Beba) Kottsick. She was the youngest family member that included 3 sisters, Lillian, Bessie and Albina, and 2 older brothers, Roman and Emil who all preceded her in death.

On April 26, 1942, she married Webster Arthur Ransom in Michigan City, IN and was married 55 years until his death on February 19, 1998.

She will be missed by her daughter, Sandra D. McAdam; two granddaughters, Carrie Porter, Plover, WI; and Jennifer Buck, Appleton, WI; great-grandchildren, Rachel Placeway, Kaden, Elijah and Jacob Buck.

Emma was a homemaker, office manager of the family business, Deacon of the La Porte Presbyterian Church, worker in missions at Guacio National Missions Project of the Presbyterian Church in Puerto Rico, volunteer for Meals on Wheels in La Porte and member of Frame Memorial Presbyterian Church of Stevens Point, WI.

The Celebration of Life Service was held in La Porte, IN May 3, with burial at Pine Lake Cemetery.

There will be a memorial service for Emma Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. at Frame Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1300 Main Street, Stevens Point, WI, with Rev. Susan Zencka officiating.

All Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Human Society of Portage County (HSPC) AT 3200 Iber Lane, Plover, WI 54467 to help the animals Mom loved.
