Irene B. Kostuchowski
Irene B. Kostuchowski, age 89, of Stevens Point, died Thursday March 6, 2014, at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital. Irene was born on July 21, 1924 in Stevens Point. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Agnes (Kulinski) Kulich. She attended local schools
Her marriage to Chester Kostuchowski took place on September 3, 1946 at St. Peter Catholic Church, after the marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point. Her husband Chester died on August 19, 2007.
Irene worked for F. W. Woolworth Company for 28 years. She was a member of the St. Peter Rosary Society Rose 21, VFW
568 Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary.
Irene enjoyed scrap booking, genealogy, quilting, ceramics and other various crafts and arts.
A special "Thank You" to the staff at Wellington Place at Whiting for all their cares and kindness to mom for the time she was there, and to everyone at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital for their kindness to our family.
Survivors include her son, Jerome Kostuchowski of Whiting; Two daughters, Kathleen (Leonard) Norton of Stevens Point and Charlene (Bruce) Morter of Bancroft.
Grandchildren, Dawn, Keith, Tina, Gary, Cory, Courtney, Del, Christopher, Curtis and Nicole.
and 20 Great-Grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Pat Vaughan of Stevens Point, daughter-in-law, Irene Kostuchowski of Stevens Point and a sister-in-law, Carol Kulich of Stevens Point.
She was preceded in death by a son Richard, two brothers, Florian and Jerry Kulich and two sisters, Ruth Kropidlowski and Evelyn Jaworski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday March 11, 2014 at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Arul Joseph Visuvasam officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the St. Faustina room at the church. St. Peter Rosary Society will pray the rosary at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Pisarski Funeral Homes of Stevens Point and Plover are assisting the family with arrangements.
