Jack L. Gruba, 87, of Stevens Point, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013, with his family by his side.

Jack was born on June 19, 1925, in Stevens Point, the son of Robert and Margaret (White) Gruba. He was married to Yvonne Faye Buckmaster on May 3, 1954, in Dubuque, Iowa.

Jack enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War from 1950 to 1952.

Jack is survived by his wife of 58 years, Yvonne Gruba; his four children, Cindy Sue Mace, Stevens Point; Robert (Gina) Gruba, Big Pine Key, Florida; Randal (Julie) Gruba, Hayward; and Rick (Susan) Gruba, Iola. His grandchildren, Jessa Mace (Don Ostrowski), Jack Gruba, Josephine Gruba, Jesse (April) Gruba, Josh Gruba, Jennifer (Tommy) Kerchefski, Travis Gruba and Benjamin Gruba. Seven great-grandchildren and his brother, Joseph Gruba of Stevens Point.

His parents, Robert and Margaret, three sisters, Delores Liebe, Kathryn Giese and Jean Waldoch, and two brothers, John Gruba and Greg Gruba preceded him in death.
