Jerome "Jerry" J. Cisewski
Jerome "Jerry" J. Cisewski, 79, of Stevens Point, died Sunday November 3, 2013, at Ministry St. Joseph Hospital Marshfield. Jerome was born on October 16, 1934 in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late Edward and Verona (Zielinski) Cisewski. He attended local schools.
His marriage to Lillian Flaig took place on November 13, 1954 at St. Phillip Catholic Church in Rudolph, after the marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point.
Jerome worked for Joerns Health Care, now known as Sunrise Medical, retiring on May 1, 1995.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1170 where he was very active with the various functions and activities the Knights were involved in and was a member of the Moose Family Center.
He enjoyed volunteering at the Portage County Health Care Center, playing cards, visiting various casinos, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Lillian Cisewski of Stevens Point. Sons, Daniel (Laurie) Cisewski of Polonia and Richard (Julie) Cisewski of Stevens Point. Daughter, Lori Cisewski (special friend Bob Passineau) of Plover.
Grandchildren, Josh, Christopher, Justin, Kyle and Shane. Great-grandchildren, Aiden, Aubrey, Hailee and Sophia. Step-Granddaughter, Samantha. Also survived by a brother, Kenneth Cisewski of Stevens Point. Sisters, Marlene (Bob) Stroik of Stevens Point and Judy (Ron) Greiner of Wisconsin Rapids. Sister-in-law, Loretta Cisewski of Stevens Point.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, four brothers and one sister.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday November 6, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Stevens Point. Rev. Placid Stroik officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home 703 Second Street Stevens Point and again on Wednesday from 9:30a.m. until time of service at the church.
