Steltenpohl, Jerome "Jerry" J.
Jerome "Jerry" J. Steltenpohl, age 66, of Plymouth, WI, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday Afternoon (May 8th).
He was born on October 17, 1946 in Rockford, Illinois, a son of Christie Meitner Steltenpohl and the late Alvin Steltenpohl.
Jerry graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point and placed first place in the Trombone Competition at the state level in 1964. He attended University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Science Degree.
On June 5, 1971 he married Linda Karch at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Grafton. The couple resided in Stevens Point for a short time, in Greenbush for four years before moving to Plymouth in 1976.
He worked at Gilson Brothers for several years and then at Borden's Foods, (which is now Dairy Farmers of America) for 28 years.
Jerry was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
He enjoyed his entire family, the companionship of all his grandchildren, was proud of his sons and was a loving husband to Linda. His passion was the Green Bay Packers and loved watching his boys sporting events, camping trips and especially the handicap cabin at Kohler Andrae State Park, loved polka's, Lawrence Welk, playing sheepshead and always listened to the Christian TV Station and the Bible.
My Jerome was a very selfless person, putting others before himself. God used him to do His work by instilling his love and wisdom to his family.
