Vetter, Ruth Elaine Wright

Ruth Elaine Wright Vetter, 74, passed away Feb. 29, 2012. Ruth was born Oct 26, 1937, in Missouri. She moved to Stevens Point, Wis. in 1949. Then in 1968, moved to the Twin Cities area. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survived by her brother, William Wright (Bonnie), Madison, Wis.; one daughter, Elizabeth Knotts (Chris), Stevens Point, Wis.; one son, Michael, San Marcos, Texas; one grandson, and two nephews. Ruth worked for the St Paul School District until her retirement. She was a woman of many interests. She served in the Peace Corp and lived in the Dominican Republic. She loved to travel and had visited places all over the world. She enjoyed spending time at the Waupaca Chain of Lakes with family and friends - this was an annual event. Akumal Mexico was one of her favorite places. She was an avid bird and wildlife watcher and photographer. Ruth's passion was cooking. Nothing made her happier than preparing wonderful dishes and serving them to her family and friends. She had a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by many. A gathering of friends will take place at 11 a.m., Monday, June 11, 2012, at Clancey's Stone Lion, 7214 Custer Dr., Custer, Wis.
