Charlene A. Bangora
Charlene Ann Bangora, age 62, of Stevens Point died August 22, 2014 at St. Michaels Hospital.
Charlene was born November 10, 1951 to the late Carl & Faith (Ainsworth) Bangora in Stevens Point, WI. She attended the local schools and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1970.
Following high school, Charlene started working for Sentry Insurance Company. She worked there for 23 years before she became a Customer Assistant for Milwaukee Guardian Insurance for 2 years. Charlene was employed with Blue Cross Blue Shield of WI for 7 years as a Data Entry Examiner and then a Data Entry Team Leader. Charlene was currently working for Wisconsin Physicians Service (WPS) of Wausau for the past 11 years as a Claims Processor.
Char will be remembered for her mild mannered, generous, and caring nature. She always put everyone else's needs in front of her own. She was a member of the Die Hard Cubs Fan Club, and had patiently waited over 40 years to become a Packer season ticket holder. She had spent 7 years being the primary care giver for her mother until her death in 2010. In her spare time, she enjoyed following the family through Facebook, taking trips up north, campfires, playing trivia, crocheting, and collecting teddy bears.
She is survived by 3 siblings, Carlene Houck of Plover, Carl Bangora of Stevens Point, and Cheryl (William) Konieczki of Stevens Point; nephew, Harold (Kristin) Houck III of Cottage Grove, MN; niece, Darcy (Patrick) Lassa of Amherst and 5 great nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents & brother-in-law, Harold Houck Jr.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Boston Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home and on Wednesday from 9:30 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
