Donald J. Gribble age 77, of Plover passed away Friday evening November 9, 2012 at St. Josephs Hospital in Marshfield surrounded by his loving family.
A celebration of life service for Donald will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday November 14, 2012 at the Plover-Shuda Funeral Home in Plover. The Elks Club of Stevens Point of which Donald is a member will have a ritual first, followed by a service with Dwaine Habrat officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to the time of service at the funeral home in Plover on Wednesday and again from the end of the service until 8:00 PM. A memorial in lieu of flowers will be established at a later date.
Donald was born December 5, 1934 in Milwaukee, the son of Burdette and Catherine (Federman) Gribble. He graduated from Pius XI. He married Lois Paque on August 6, 1953 in Miwaukee. The couple settled in Milwaukee until 1963 when they moved to Stevens Point then moved to Plover in 1970. Don worked at both Esser and Point Glass until 1967 when he became a trucker. He worked at Moodie Inc before he joined Construcks where he worked until retirement. Lois and Don enjoyed spending the past 7 winters in Texas, he was a lifelong Packer Fan, and avid deer hunter, but most of all made his family #1 in his life.
Don is survived by his wife Lois, Plover; their 6 children, Karen (Rick) Adams, Plover; Debra (Leonard) Jelinski, Plover; Kim Gribble, Mosinee; Donna (Mike) Baumhofer, Plover; Lorie (Joe) Randazzo, Carpentersville, IL; James (Debbie) Gribble, Plover. 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. One brother Edward (Marilyn) Gribble, Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by his parents, their daughter Susan in 1998, a grandson Anthony, and two brothers: Gerald and Richard.
