Eloise L. Herrera
Waupaca, WI (formerly of Plainfield)
Age 71 - died on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Crystal River Nursing Facility in Waupaca. She was born in Texas on August 17, 1942, the daughter of Crescendo and Guillerma (Rodriguez) Garcia. She married Pedro "Pete" Herrera on April 16, 1963 in Haskell, TX. He preceded her in death on February 25, 2007.
Eloise is survived by four sons: Jim Herrera of Waupaca, Tony Herrera of Plover, Daniel (Missy) Herrera of Waupaca, and Chris (Fiancée: Dana Zabawa) Herrera of Wisconsin Rapids, grandchildren: Jason (Brianne) Herrera, Dan (Katrina) Herrera, Kayla (Jeremy Baublit) Herrera, Samantha (Curt) Ambacher, Cody Degler, Michelle Blackwell, Anthony Blackwell, Joseph Blackwell, Liz Herrera, and nine great grandchildren. She is further survived by brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Eloise was preceded in death by her husband, Pete, and her parents.
Eloise had been a certified nursing assistant and had been employed at the Portage County Health Care Center in Stevens Point for many years. She had many interests including shopping, crocheting, collecting dolls, and taking care of plants. She also had a deep love for animals.
A funeral service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Father Paul Vanden Hogen, officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Twp. of Pine Grove, Portage County, WI. A visitation will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca on Tuesday evening from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
