Gary L. Pezewski, age 61, of Amherst, WI, passed away on Wednesday, October 30th, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Milwaukee, WI, on December 16, 1951, a son of the late Martin and Minnie (Baudino) Pezewski.
Gary married Pamela C. LeHane on September 25, 1976 in LaCrosse, WI. He was the owner of Buena Vista Exteriors and worked in the construction trade for nearly 40 years. Gary enjoyed spending time with his family - from playing cribbage with Pamela, to watching his 3 granddaughters play soccer, and talking Packers with his son - especially when they beat the Vikings! Recently, he accomplished a major goal with Cousin Jerry by climbing Mt Rainier.
A great friend, Gary was a true spirit that everyone loved to be around. He enjoyed the outdoors - hunting, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and camping. As a supporter of the history of Portage County, Gary was a part of the Barn Project and had his photographs on display at the Nelsonville Rising Star Mill. A true man of nature, Gary also loved to garden and was responsible for planting over 20,000 trees in his lifetime, many of them on his property at Stone Oaks.
