Wallner, Lorraine

Lorraine M. Wallner, 89, 1500 Pepper Ave., Wisconsin Rapids, formerly of Mosinee, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Renaissance Assisted Living.

She was born Nov. 18, 1923, in Rudolph, the daughter of the late George Sr. and Arnoldina (Johnson) Bushmaker. She married Carl Edward Wallner on Aug. 18, 1942, in Rudolph. He died May 5, 2004.

In 1981, after retirement, Lorraine and Carl moved to Sandy Shore Dr. on the Big Eau Pleine in Mosinee. In 2001 they moved into the City of Mosinee due to Carl's health. Following her stroke in 2004 she moved to Renaissance Assisted Living Center in Wisconsin Rapids where she resided until her death. She died under the loving care of her family and Hospice. Lorraine enjoyed playing cards, dancing, crossword puzzles and spending time with friends. Most of all she enjoyed her family. She loved spending time with all of them including six children, 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Bob Wallner, Denham Springs, Louisiana, Tom (Judy) Wallner, Wisconsin Rapids, Bill (Tari) Wallner, Stevens Point, Larry (Patty) Wallner, Wisconsin Rapids, Jane (Howard) Lesser, Nashville, Tenn., and Mary (Peter) Donlon, Eden Prairie, Minn.; and 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Sue Wallner; three brothers, George, August and Anthony, and two sisters, Eleanore and Marie.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Donald Przybylski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, where at 6 p.m. there will be a prayer service. Visitation will be again from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
