Margaret "Peggy" M. Winger, age 51, of Stevens Point, died January 10, 2013.
Peggy was born March 12, 1961 to the late Gerald & Jannette (Dettlaff) Knowlton. She moved to the Stevens Point area at a young age where she grew up, attended the local grade schools and graduated from SPASH.
She worked in customer service and waitressed for many years.
Peggy will be remembered for her warm smile and her gift of hospitality to her friends and family. She loved helping others and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, riding her bike, and animals, especially her dog, Sassy. She was a "new found believer in Christ" and attended the Amherst Bible Church. Peggy embraced her faith and dedicated her time and efforts to supporting the Haiti Relief Fund that was through the church.
Survivors include her two children, Sarah (Hank) Zblewski of Amherst and Tiffany Wise (Brandon Strebe) of Wausau; grandchildren, Zacariah, Samantha, Johnathan, Tacy; siblings, Patricia, John, Alyce, Jennifer, & Tom; many nieces and nephews; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents & siblings, Michelle, Mary, and Gerald Jr.
A Funeral Service will be held 4:00 pm, Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Family Church, 3017 Church Street, Stevens Point, with Pastor Ray Haas officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 pm until the time of service at the church.
