Michael Pampuch Obituary
Pampuch, Michael Reed

Michael Reed Pampuch, 52, of Milwaukee, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, after an extended illness.

He was born Sept. 21, 1961, in Milwaukee, the son of Leona and the late Paul Pampuch, and attended local schools in Milwaukee.

He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in June of 1978 and re-enlisted in February of 1983. He served as a Unit Diary (Data) Clerk and was stationed at Camp Elmore, Norfolk, Virginia, and Okinawa, Japan. His awards included the Meritorious Mast 5th Award, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal Second Award, Rifle Expert Seventh Award and the Navy Unit Commendation. He was honorably discharged, at the rank of E-5 (Sergeant), on the 25th of March 1987, at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Mike worked for the city of Milwaukee for 24 years in street maintenance. He enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting, the Brewers, Summerfest and fishing; he would never pass you without giving you a smile or saying something.

Survivors include his mother, Leona of Custer; brother, Gregory of Merrill, special friend, Jennifer of Milwaukee; and many relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul; maternal grandparents, Mike and Mary Delikowski, paternal grandparents, Paul and Valaria Pampuch; and many aunts and uncles.

Michael, we love you and will miss your smiling face.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent with the Rev. Norman Boneck officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the rosary being prayed at 6 p.m.; and again on Monday morning from 9 a.m. until the time for Mass.
