Robert J. Gregorich age 75, of Stevens Point passed away Saturday morning November 17, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday November 21, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Jerzy Rebacz will officiate. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 4:00 - 7:00 Tuesday evening at the Shuda Funeral Chapel in Stevens Point. The Knights of Columbus of which Robert is a 4th Degree member will pray a rosary at the funeral home on 6:00 PM Tuesday. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 - 10:45 AM. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery. in lieu of flowers donations in Robert's name can be made to the Knights of Columbus building fund, St Joesph's Parish or Ministry Hospice.
Robert was born December 25, 1936 in Chisholm, MN, the son of Jacob and Anna (Micensky) Gregorich. He graduated from Chisholm High School and UW-Whitewater. Robert married Emma Jean Cianni on September 6, 1958 in Chisholm, MN. The couple moved to Stevens Point in 1959. Robert worked at Worzalla Publishing Co. for 42 years, retiring in 2001. He served as past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and was a faithful navigator. He was very active at St. Joseph Church as a lector, eucharistic minister, and alter server. He enjoyed woodworking, home repair, hunting, and watching his grandchildren play sports.
Robert is survived by his wife Emma Jean, and their 5 children: Deborah (Greg) Schmidt; Robert (Patty) Gregorich; Lynn Karam; Mary (Kam) Nassab; Amy Gregorich. 11 grandchildren: Sarah, Rebecca, Danille, Steven Schmidt; Robert, Taylor, Halle Gregorich; Tahrek and Kiefer Nassab ; Anthony Gregorich, and Emily Spaid. 2 great grandchildren. 2 brothers: John (Ellen) Gregorich, James (Elaine) Gregorich. One sister Elizabeth Tarabek. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son David Joseph Gregorich.
