Roseann (Drapes) Schneeberg
Of Plover died early Tuesday afternoon, November 12, 2013 at the Portage County Health Care Center with her family at her side following a courageous fight with cancer.
Age 80 Roseann was born May 13, 1933 in Stevens Point. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Weisbrot) Drapes. She attended St. Peters Grade School and graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in 1951. Roseann worked for a number of years for Hardware Mutual Insurance (now Sentry Insurance) until her and her husband started a family and it was then she became a stay at home mother to raise her children.
Her marriage to Richard "Dick" Schneeberg took place on June 25, 1955 at St. Peter's Catholic Church. After their marriage the couple settled in Minneapolis MN, returning to the Stevens Point area in 1956.
Roseann's favorite pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren. They enjoyed camping and picnicking, and in their later years she and her husband made their annual trip to New Ulm, MN, for Oktoberfest. Her husband Richard preceded her in death on January 10, 2007, when she then moved to the Plover area in 2010.
She was member of the St. Peter's Rosary Society and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.
In lieu of flowers a memorial in her name will be established at a later date.
Roseann is survived by her two daughters, Linda (Lonny) Jacowski and Karla (Kelly) Amble both of Plover. Her three sons, Thomas (Renee) Schneeberg of Stevens Pont, Kris (Maria) Schneeberg of New Ulm, MN, and Scott Schneeberg of Stevens Point.
Nineteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one sister Carol Pieczynski of Stevens Point.
She was preceded in death by one grandson Robert "Bobby" Jacowski, four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday November 16, 2013 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church. Monsignor Jeffrey Burrill officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home, 2911 Plover Rd Plover and from 9:30 A.M. Saturday at St. Bronislava Church until the time for mass. There will be a general rosary at 7:00 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home.
