Richard R. Rutta

Richard R. Rutta died Monday June 9, 2014 at the age of 84 following a long illness. He was born in Milwaukee to the late Joseph and Mary (Zoromski) Rutta. Richard married the former Mary Literski in 1950. His wife Mary survives.

Richard proudly served his country during the Korean War as a specialist with a Bomb Disposal Unit in Alaska. Upon return from the service he worked as a Diesel Mechanic until his retirement in 1987. He was a long time member of the American Legion Berens Scribner Post 6.

Survivors include his wife Mary, one daughter Sue (Don Baumgartner), three sons Ron (Nancy), Paul (Rita) and Jim (Lisa).

Six grandchildren Jenna, Chris, Eric, Craig, Andrew and Justin, and one step granddaughter Annie, one great granddaughter Neela.

One brother Rhody (Marlene) and three sister-in-laws Marge (Don Adamczak), Esther Bigus and Bridget Morton and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials to the family will be determined at a later date.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday June12, 2014 at the Forest Cemetery in Stevens Point. The Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family. Online condolences may be sent by visiting
