Clete F. Burskey, 77, Mosinee, was born into heaven on Aug. 21, 2014 at Cedar Ridge Assisted Living, Schofield.
He was born Jan. 21, 1937 in Stevens Point to the late Fred and Lucille (Gonsorowski) Burskey. He married Myrna (Strong) Wirsbinski on Feb. 13 1981. She survives.
Clete did a tour with the US Marine Corps. He served both stateside and in the South Pacific from 1956-1959. He retired from the Mosinee Paper Mill after 40 years of employment. His career started in manufacturing and retired in corporate sales service. He was also instrumental in establishing Indian Head Golf Course. He was the #2 charter member, only because he lost a coin toss with Peanuts Frank.
Survivors include his children, Megg (Tony) Rubbo, Scottsdale, Ariz., Amy Mallon (Brian), Plover, Chuck (Gail) Wirsbinski, Mosinee, Linda (Jay) Robbins, Marathon, and Bill (Carol) Wirsbinski, Eagan, Minn.; 10 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren; two brothers, Melvin (Mary) Burskey, Neenah and Gerald (Glenda) Burskey, Mosinee; two sisters, Maxine (Don) Gorski, Neenah and Carol (Jim) Carmell, Daton, OH; Clete was preceded in death by a sister, Rita (Sven) Hanson.
Services will be 11:00 am Monday, August 25, 2014 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Donald Przybylski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will be from 9 am until time of services Monday, at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is in charge of arrangements.
