Heather L. (Lynn) Hansen, 50, of Junction City died unexpectedly Thursday morning, March 22, 2012 at her home.

Heather was born November 7, 1961 in Elgin, IL. She was the daughter of the late Richard Hansen, and Marcine (Halverson) Hansen.
Heather attended grade school in Palmyra and graduated from Palmyra High School. She attended Waukesha County Technical School and received a degree as an International Auto Mechanic, and also attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in the Natural Resources field.
Heather worked as a self-employed relief milker for a number of dairy farms from 1992- 1996. She also worked for Clover Family Farms in Mosinee for number of years, before spending the last sixteen years as an over the road trucker for Mallek Trucking in Plover.
Heather loved the outdoors, enjoyed reading and gardening and had a passion for NASCAR. She had a very strong work ethic in everything she did, and had her faith in the Lord. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the Humane Society of Portage County would be appreciated, and would follow through with her love and care for animals.
Heather is survived by her extended family Mark (Deb) Mallek and many other close friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday March 29, 2012 the Pisarski Community Funeral Home, 2911 Plover Road, Plover. Family and friends may call from 9:30 am Thursday morning at the funeral home until the time of services. Pastor Chad Raisleger and Pastor Joe Grier will be officiating.
