Elizabeth Jane Ann "Betty" Kobishop, 86, Stevens Point, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Care Partners Assisted Living facility in Whiting.



She was born on January 26, 1926, the daughter of the late John Zdroik and Anna (Wurzinger) Zdroik. Betty attended St. Joseph Grade School and P.J. Jacobs High School, graduating in 1944.



She married William M. Kobishop on December 28, 1946, at St. Joseph Church in Stevens Point. Betty worked for Weber Fly Company, F.W. Woolworth, Pete's Silver Coach, and the Stevens Point Area Public Schools' lunch program. She was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed playing board games, completing crossword puzzles, cooking, and spending time with her family.



She leaves to celebrate her memory her husband; five daughters, Trish (Bob) Barr, Evanston, IL; Kathleen (Jerry) Willkom, Stevens Point; Betty (Greg) Gustafson, Stevens Point; Barb "Charlee," Port Washington; and Loree (Chris) LaFlex, Stevensville, MI. Betty is further survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Willie; three brothers, and a sister.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Betty's name may be made to the .

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 20, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Betty's family will greet visitors in the St. Faustina Room of the church from 9:00 a.m. until the service. She will be laid to rest at Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point at a later date.
