Irene Kieliszewski, 100, Curtis, Michigan died Sunday, September 8, 2013.
She was born August 5, 1913 in Chicago, daughter of Jacob and Josephine Posluszny. She was raised in Chicago and moved to Stevens Point when she was 15 years old.
She was a 1933 graduate of Emerson High School.
Irene was married to Michael Kieliszewski. He died in 1982.
She was employed in the Polish department at Worzalla Publishing, where she translated the Gwiazda Polarna.
Irene enjoyed reading, watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers and doing crossword puzzles, listening to polka music and knitting in her younger days.
Survivors include Maxine (Chet) Wroblewski of Junction City; Dalbert (Elaine) Kieliszewski of Stevens Point; Kathy (Ambrose) Cyran of Curtis, Mich.; and Bridget(Dennis) Luczak of Felch, Mich. She also has 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jim and one grandchild.
Beaulieu Funeral Home in Newberry, Mich., is in charge of private services.
