Charette, Frances Carver

Frances Carver Charette, 98, passed away on Sept. 17, 2013, after suffering a massive stroke. She was born in Stevens Point, on July 9, 1915, to Daniel and Josephine Nugent. She married Merlin Carver on Oct. 5, 1940. She lived in Stevens Point for 62 years before relocating to the Milwaukee area for the next 30 years and then Texas for the last six years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ray Nugent; husbands, Merlin Carver and Richard Charette; and a daughter, Connie Salvinski.

She is survived by her sister, Verna Zmuda, brother, George Nugent; son, Daniel and daughter, Diane. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 17-great-grandchildren.

A 9 o'clock visitation and a 10 o'clock Mass will celebrate her life on Oct. 2, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church followed by burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
