Carol Ann Elliker, age 73, passed peacefully into the next life on January 14, 2014 with her family at her side.

Carol was born December 12, 1940 in Monmouth, IL to John K. and Wilda M. (Kettering) Miller. The family moved to Madison, WI when Carol was a teenager and she graduated from Monona Grove high school in 1958. She met her husband, Robert J. Elliker, while they were attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and they were married on September 2, 1961. They moved briefly to Detroit, MI, before settling in Stevens Point.

Carol was a devoted wife, wonderful mother and homemaker, while working part-time as a teacher's aide, secretary, and in women's clothing sales. Carol was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Stevens Point where she taught Sunday school and was active in the women's circle. Carol developed a love for fiber arts and started her own business selling her hand-woven items at art shows in the Midwest. She was a founding member of the Wandering Vine Weavers Guild, and a member of the Wisconsin Alliance of Artists and Craftspeople, the Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council, the Wisconsin Handweavers, and the Woodstock Weavers Guild. She also was an active, long-time member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

Carol is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Ann (Todd) Kiefer of Madison; son, Peter (Tami) of Appleton; brother, Roger (Gail) Miller of Winchester; sister, M. Kay Miller of Jackson, KY; and many relatives in and near her hometown of Monmouth, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
