Herman W. Bella

Herman W. Bella, 81 of 2732 Lindbergh Ave. Stevens Point, died Saturday March 1, 2014 at Lake View Heights in Wausau. He was born Sept. 24, 1932 In the Town of Dewey. He is the son of the late John & Gertrude (Slowinski) Bella. He was a US Navy Veteran. His marriage to Angeline "Angie" Grezenski took place on July 5, 1958 at St. Peter Catholic Church, she survives.

Herman was employed by Mid State Technical College as a maintenance worker retiring in 1997. He was a life time member of the Polish Legion of American Veterans Post 185.

Herman had a great passion for music, early in 1960 he was the band leader of the Hi-Fi polka band. As the years past the band became Hermie Bella and sons with Guy Tech. In the last several years the band was known as the Hermie Bella band, performing throughout Wisconsin for over 50 years. He also played many polka Masses with the Choraliers. He enjoyed helping his children with whatever jobs needed to be done. He was a great plumber, electrician and could repair anything that needed to be fixed. He and his wife spent a lot of time at their cottage up north with family. Always ready for a big weekend fishing or boating, just being together which he enjoyed. In lieu of flowers a memorial in his name will be established at a later date.

Survivors include his wife Angie, Two sons: James (Paulette) and Mike (Karm) Bella both from Adairville, KY. Two daughters: Linda (Ed) Wise of Stevens Point & Judy (Duane) Domaszek of Minocqua. Three Grandsons: Ryan & Shawn Domaszek and Jesse Bella. One great granddaughter: Emma Domaszek. One sister: Elizabeth (Harold) Satre of Tigerton. Three sister-in-laws: Betty Bella, Rose Marie Wise & Nancy Grezenski. Preceded in death by 4 brothers & 1 sister.

Funeral Mass 11:00 am Friday March 7, 2014 at St. Casimir Catholic Church. Rev. Arul Joseph V. will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of services Friday morning at the Church. For on line condolences please visit www.pisarskifuneralhome.com. A celebration of Herman's life will be on March 8, 2014 at 7:00 pm at Knotty Pines.
