Margaret Wanserski Obituary
Margaret Ann Wanserski, 84, of Rosholt, went to her heavenly home early Saturday morning, May 30, 2015, at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital.
She was born on July 16, 1930, in the town of Bevent, to the late Anton and Felixia (Stroik) Wierzba. On Oct. 23, 1951, she was married to the love of her life, Edward Wanserski. Edward died on May 14, 2004.
Margaret worked at St. Michael's Hospital for a period of time and then she and Edward moved to Milwaukee where she worked at Masterlock and Oster Friedman. The couple then returned to Edward's homestead in the town of Sharon.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her interests included crafting, baking, gardening (she sold produce to the Co-op), canning garden produce and she enjoyed her flowers and especially tending her raspberry garden. Margaret was a member of the Sacred Heart Rosary Society and she had been an usher at church.
Survivors include her children, Thomas (Julie) Wanserski, Chris (Kevin) Bak, Michael (Bobbie) Wanserski, Sue (Mark) Messing and Patrick (Tonya) Wanserski; grandchildren, Tanya (Matt) Mlodik, Crystal (Donnie) Lieske, Thomas (Lisa) Wanserski, Michelle (Dan) Beard, Kassandra Wanserski, Kelsey Wanserski and Zachary Wanserski; step-grandchildren, Natasha Arnold, Breenna Dampier and Sierra Dahl; great-grandchildren, Kailei, Braeden and Cody Mlodik, Stephanie and Andrew Lieske, Desiny Heschke, Zoey and Marissa Wanserski; step-great-grandchild, Cameron Dampier; two sisters, Agnes Bembenek and Theresa Bembenek.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by four sisters; five brothers; one step-brother and one grandchild, Katie Wanserski.
The family thanks all of those who gave medical care and comfort to Margaret throughout the years.
In lieu of flowers, donations for Masses to be said for Margaret would be appreciated.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia with the Revs. Alan Wierzba and Gregory Michaud concelebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, 703 Second St., Stevens Point, and conclude with the rosary being prayed at 6:45 p.m. - led by the Sacred Heart Rosary Society. Visitation will also be at the church on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time for Mass. Pisarski Funeral Homes are honored to be serving the family. Auntie Margaret was a great inspiration to the entire Wierzba family while dealing with her battles with cancer. Tom, Chris, Michael, Sue, Patrick and families, our sympathy on the loss of your mom and our wonderful aunt. It was always fun visiting her house in the summer and seeing all her well manicured gardens. She was one of the most positive people I ever new, going through her cancer she was an inspiration to all of us.
