Anthony Tryba Obituary

Tryba, Anthony

Anthony E. Tryba, 74, Wittenberg, died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born on March 24, 1941 in the town of Reid, the son of the late Benjamin and Johanna (Dallman) Tryba.

On November 8, 1986, Tony was united in marriage to Dorothy Firkus in Tigerton. She survives.

Tony operated a forklift at various companies throughout the area. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galloway. Tony enjoyed dancing in his younger years, along with fishing, hunting and playing bingo.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Tryba, Wittenberg; one daughter, Eileen Woller, Merrill; three step-children, John VanPatten, Elderon, Joseph VanPatten, Green Bay and Diana Kromraj, Milwaukee. He is also survived by grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his siblings, Joe (Adeline) Tryba, Edward (Florence) Tryba, Daniel (Alvira) Tryba, John (Linda) Tryba and Jenna Landowski.

In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by four sisters.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galloway. Fr. Augustine Bentil will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9am until the time of services at the church. Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg is assisting the family with arrangements.
