Knew Jim from our days at the Public Service Commission, and subsequent law practice. An intelligent, kind and fun guy and one who fought for his clients. He'll be remembered.

Jim was always one of the most upbeat and friendly men on the planet. His father baptized my brother and me and Jim became a great friend. I can't believe he's gone so soon. Great sadness from the Rexford Family.

Big Jim wasn't a good golfer although I played some of the most memorable rounds of golf in my life with him. He often spoke of his son and his friends as future leaders of america, he spoke of the necessity of not wearing speedo's to bed for fear of what it could cause to your manhood, and he was the first person I can remember that called us turkey's. I can still feel Big Jim shaking my hand and saying George how's it going? What are you up to? I can still see him wearing his blue shirts and gold tie clips. Big Jim always wanted to be one of the boy's. He was and he taught us a lot about being a man in the little things you do in life. Margee said the other day, Dad likes to smell good, and I smiled at the thought of what she said. Smells can bring back memories unexpectedly. I can't wait to see what comes to mind next time I catch a drift of Jim. Love you Big Jim, George

I've know and respected Jim for 50 years as a brother of Phi Gamma Delta. His dad married Jean and I at Central Presbyterian and I always looked forward to seeing his warm smile and friendly greeting as we too were members at Ladue Chapel. A very gifted person who will be missed.
