Beloved wife of the late Gerhard van Schrick; dear sister of Gisela Grell of Germany; dear cousin of Larry, Gary and Terry Weber and families; dear aunt of Monika and Herbert Lorenz and family; dear friend to many. Mrs. van Schrick was a member of German Cultural Society Damenchor. Services: Visitation Monday, December 22, 4-8 p.m. at KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, with time of remembrance at 6:30 p.m. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial to a charity of one's choice appreciated.

Van Matre, Shirley Mae (nee Sallman), 85, who was a lifelong St. Louis resident, died peacefully on Monday the 15th of December at Christian Hospital Northeast, where she volunteered for over 25 years. She was the devoted wife of the late Donald A. Van Matre; adoring sister of Gary A. Sallman (Patricia), Carole Guerra (deceased) and Glenn Sallman (deceased); survived by sons Steven, Kurt (Cathy) and Gary; grandchildren John, Megan, Sarah, Casey, Emma, Kurt, Gary, Timothy, Justin and Shannon; 11 great-grandchildren. Shirley was a faithful servant of Our Lord and member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Florissant for over 60 years. She was a passionate and dedicated member of the Paddock Hills Garden Club. Services: Visitation (9AM -11AM), and funeral services (11AM) Friday, December 19 at Atonement Lutheran Church, 1285 North Florissant Rd, Florissant, MO 63031.
