Hurley-Brandon, Alphonsa Phonse Soaring triumphantly into the Arms of our Heavenly Father, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Thurs., July 17, 2014. Loving sister of Joseph Zink; Beloved mother of Debbie (Jim) Campise, Kelly Hurley, Maureen Campise, Anne Kretzler; precious mother-in-law to Sandy (Tony) Perricone., Nana of Megan (fiancé, Marc), David, Patrick, Christine, Morgan, Abby, Aidan, Kaitlin and Bailey. Preceding Phonse were her grandson Jimmy; 1st husband & father of her children Maurice; only son Michael; son-inlaw Chris; 2nd husband Bob; sisterin-law Carol; and her parents Raymond Zink & Rosemary O'Brien. Phonse was a graduate of RosatiKain High School, an airline stewardess, a top saleswoman for World Book Enclyopedias and the 1st Alderwoman in Bellefontaine Neighbors where she served for 17 years. She retired from St. Louis County Parks Department. Phonse was a true pioneer for her girls: she was a softball coach, a Girl Scout Leader, President of Bellefontaine Neighbors Country Club Swim Team, and she organized bus transportation for Incarnate Word High School as well as Girls 1st CYC Soccer League in North County. Most important to Phonse was faith, family and friends. You could always count on her to be there for you and share her unique words of wisdom. She was our rock and inspiration and everyone's biggest cheerleader¢$ºjust ask the Cardinals. She was a remarkable individual who touched many lives and showed us all how to walk with Jesus and live each day to the fullest. Her family would like to thank the many friends, medical professionals and spiritual advisors that came to her aid in her times of need. Mom showed us all how to live each day and took her last breath when she was ready to meet her Lord and Savior. Services: Visitation at the STYGAR MID RIVERS Funeral Home & Crematory, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., (St. Charles) on Mon., July 21 from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. The family will then receive friends at St. Cletus Catholic Church, 2705 Zumbehl Rd. (St. Charles) on Tues., July 22 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. with a Celebration of Mass at 10:00 A.M. Interment Calvary Cemetery (St. Louis). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Jimmy Campise Memorial Schol arship Fund at DeSmet Jesuit High School, 233 N. New Ballas Rd., St. Louis MO 63141.
