Barrett, M. Patricia  
Barrett, M. Patricia Distinguished communications and fundraising professional and dedicated community leader, passed from this life on June 11, 2015, after a brief illness. A native St. Louisan, Patricia was born October 29, 1937, to the late Edward and Frances (Stretch) Barrett, the second of three daughters. Patricia attended Holy Redeemer grade school in Webster Groves and Ursuline Academy in Kirkwood. She received her bachelor's degree from Saint Louis University in 1959, and Master of Liberal Arts from Washington University in 1995. Patricia began her professional business career as Director of Admissions at Webster College (now University) in the mid-1960s. She became Director of Business and Public Relations for Junior Achievement of Mississippi Valley in the early 1970s. Patricia next became Director of Development at the former St. Joseph Hospital of Kirkwood in the mid-1970s. In 1977, she joined Union Electric Company (currently Ameren Corporation) as Manager of Community Relations, and rose to become Vice President-Corporate Communications from 1991 to her retirement in 1999. In 2001 Patricia served as interim CEO of the Arts and Education Council. She then became one of three co-founders of and Partner in EMD Consulting Group, LLC, established in 2002 to provide comprehensive services to the nonprofit sector. The St. Louis community has been enriched by Patricia's commitment to a wide variety of educational, cultural, philanthropic, civic and social service institutions and organizations. Prominent among these were Washington University, Saint Louis University, Innsbrook Music Institute, United Way, Provident, Inc., The Scholarship Foundation, Saint Louis Public Schools, Coro Foundation, and the City of Clayton. In recognition of her many contributions, Patricia was awarded the YWCA of Greater St. Louis Distinguished Leader in Business, 1991; Woman of Achievement, St. Louis, 1996; and Washington University Distinguished Alumna, 2007. Patricia was the beloved sister of Phyllis Barrett Walsh and K. Bonnie Barrett; dear sister-in-law of William Walsh and Robert Clever; loving aunt of Patricia Walsh, Brian (Camilla) Walsh, Kathleen Walsh, Matthew (Fatima) Walsh, and Stephen (Marcia) Walsh. She was the devoted great-aunt of Ryan, Travis, Anya, Ayla, Keira, Shane and Delanie Walsh. Services: A celebration of Patricia's life will be held on Saturday, July 25, at 11:00 a.m.at the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts on the Webster University campus, 130 Edgar Road, Webster Groves, MO 63119. Bozzay, William Elmer "Chief"  
Bozzay, William Elmer Chief Age 92, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Mary Queen & Mother Center. He was the beloved husband of Helen Teresa Bozzay (nee Pedrotti) for 67 years; the dear son of late Helen Bozzay (Nee Horvath) and the late Dennis Bozzay. He was the dear brother of the late Elvira Hoffman, Olga Schauer, Dennis Carl Bozzay and Edward Jim Bozzay. He was the father of Lawrence (Lynn) Bozzay, Ron (Laura) Bozzay, Lona (Mike Terpening) Bozzay, Kevin (Claire Kelly) Bozzay and Bruce (Hannah) Bozzay. Chief had numerous greatgrandchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. He will be missed. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and other medals for his service as radio operator on a B-17 during WWII, flying 26 missions. He retired after working at the L.B. Price Mercantile Co. for 47 years. Chief was an avid St. Louis Baseball Cardinals fan. He was quick to laugh and unafraid to cry. Services: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Monday, July 6, 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11:30 a.m. Interment J.B. National Cemetery.
