Cunningham, Cecil Preston  
Cunningham, Cecil Preston Preston Cunningham was born in Atmore, AL on June 26, 1924 to Joseph Elijah Cunningham and Mary Pugh Cunningham and died peacefully in Chesterfield, MO on November 11, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Corinne Dement Cunningham and father of Mark Preston Cunningham. Preston was a Southern gentleman whose kindness touched many lives. His passion for fishing and golf provided him with many happy days since retiring from Monsanto in 1982. At home, Preston became a gourmet chef par excellence, sharing delightful creations with his family. Preston graduated from the University of Alabama in 1944 with a degree in Chemistry. After marrying Corinne, he joined the Navy to fight in the Pacific during World War II as a Lieutenant (JG) on the USS Washington. After the war he went to work for Monsanto where he became a Group Vice President and member of the board of directors. Services: A Memorial Visitation will be held at KRIEGSHAUSER WEST, 9450 Olive Blvd., on Saturday, December 6, from 12 noon until time of Memorial Service at 1:00 pm. Green, Anita  
Green, Sr. Anita CDP Age 80, of McCandless Township, PA, died peacefully at Providence Heights on Monday, November 24, 2014. Sr. Anita (Sheila Rose) was born September 22, 1934 in Utica, New York. She entered the Sisters of Divine Providence on August 21, 1949 in St. Louis Missouri. Throughout the next 65 years she faithfully and joyfully served God and others in the Diocese of St. Louis for over 20 years as an educator and administrator. She traveled to Germany for three years to research Community history and returned to St. Louis to serve as director of Mount Providence motherhouse. Following her years in education, Sr. Anita ministered as director of mission effectiveness for Catholic Health Association in St. Louis. Through her work with CHA she was recruited to go to Romania and oversee a project for orphans were she resided until 2003. Upon her return to the United States she took up residence with the sisters of Divine Providence in Allison Park where she continued her out-reach to Romania and did local volunteer work with infants at the John Heinz Day Care. Sr. Anita earned a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, a master's degree in theology, and a Ph. D. in historical theology. She is preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Anna Lamphear Green; her brothers, Terence, Patrick and brother-in-law Steve. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Ellen Green Moser, Bridget Green Kennedy and many nieces and nephews and countless friends. Services: Friends will be received at Providence Heights on Friday 2- 4 and 7-9 p.m. with Wake Service at 7 p.m. Visitation on Saturday 9-10:30 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Mother of Divine Providence Chapel. Hille, Robert E.  
Hille, Robert E. died peacefully, November 23, 2014, with his beloved wife Gini and sons, Robert and Peter at his bedside. He was 95 years old. Born in Fulton, KY in 1919, he moved to Webster Groves as a child and graduated from Webster High School, Class of 1936. He began his broadcast career at KXOK Radio in St. Louis until he enlisted in the Army during WWII and was assigned to the Signal Corp. While stationed at Ft. Monmouth, he met the love of his life, Virginia, and they were married in 1943. He completed Officer Candidate School and attained the rank of major. His wartime assignment was Aide de Camp to General John L. Homer who was responsible for the security of the Panama Canal. After the war, he returned to St. Louis to resume his broadcasting career at KXOK and then at KSD Radio and KSD TV where he anchored the 6 and 10 pm newscasts. He was the President of the St. Louis Press Club, and served as the Master of Ceremonies for numerous events throughout the area. Bob was a member of Webster Groves Presbyterian Church for 83 years, sang in the Chancel Choir there for more than 70 years, was baritone soloist for 15 years and served as a Trustee. In 2013, he was named a Kentucky Colonel by Governor Steve Beshear. Bob loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and golf and as a patron of the arts regularly attended performances of the St. Louis Symphony, St. Louis Opera and the Repertory Theatre. Bob and Gini traveled throughout the United States, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Virginia (nee Curry), sons Robert (Carol) and Peter (Debra), granddaughters Amy Hille Glascock (Will), Jessica, and Stephanie (Brent), niece Susan Spectorsky (Joel Lidov). He was preceded in death by his sister Lucille and brother David Reilich. Services: will be held on Saturday, November 29 at 2:00 PM at Webster Groves Presbyterian Church. The family requests that donations in lieu of flowers be sent to the church at 45 West Lockwood, Webster Groves, MO 63119.
