Adele Mary Junge Grace

Grace, Adele Mary Junge Fortified with the Sacraments of The Holy Mother Church passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19 after a brief illness. Her husband of 53 years, Edward Warren Grace, predeceased her in 2008. She is survived by her beloved children Mary Kathryn Grace Thome and son-in-law Petter, Valerie Grace Ricordi and E. Warren Grace and daughter-in-law Lyn and nine grandchildren, Caterina Ricordi, Eliana Ricordi Green (Jared), Christopher Thome, Carlo Ricordi, Edward Thome, Edward Grace III, Louis Grace, William Grace and Peter Grace. She will be dearly missed by her sister LaVerne Junge Skrivan and brother-in-law George and brother Walter Junge and sister-in-law Marian and 23 nieces and nephews and their families. Adele grew up in Normandy as part of the large extended Hoffmeyer family. She was a 1946 graduate of Logan Chiropractic College and had a thriving practice for 10 years on Delmar Boulevard. With a gregarious personality, big heart and industrious nature, she was an involved volunteer for many years, active in the Annunziata Parish Guild, John Burroughs School, Missouri Botanical Garden, where she managed Henry Shaw's Historic home for two years, The Saint Louis Woman's Club, the Sowing Circle Garden Club and Ranken Jordan Home. Even in her final years at The Gatesworth, she served on the Events Committee and was often the first to befriend the new residents there. Adele's deep faith, sincere compassion, positive resilience, creative flair and devotion to friends and family will serve as an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Services: The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Annunziata in Ladue, 9305 Clayton Rd., at Cella Rd., on Tuesday, June 24, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
