Carl F. Buettner

Buettner, Carl F. of Ballwin, Mo., passed on Dec. 9th, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Margie; his daughter, Sandra (Shawn); his son, John; his grandchildren, Kiersten and Lindzy, as well as his beloved sister Jean Hodgson. Carl served in the US Navy during WW II, after which he attended Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN, with a B.S degree in Civil Engineering. He worked as the chief engineer for the City of St. Louis Water Dept. He met the love of his life Margie in 1959 and they were married shortly after. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Carl F. Buettner and Assoc., a private consulting engineering firm. Carl held several patents used in various water departments throughout the country. He served as Mayor of Crestwood, MO., from 1976-1978. He was also very active at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Crestwood, Mo.
