Clifford Gilbert "Cliff" Jordan

Jordan, Clifford Cliff Gilbert 75, passed away Saturday, the 12th of April. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 15th, 1938. Cliff graduated in 1956 from Beaumont High School. After receiving his degree in Psychology from Washington University where he was active in Beta Theta Pi, Cliff worked as a Chief Psychologist in the US Army at Fort Leonard Wood, eventually achieving the rank of Captain. His career was dedicated to supporting those in need. He spent 37 years at Malcolm Bliss Mental Health Center serving in many capacities, including his role as Ward Manager. Cliff enjoyed teaching and for many years taught classes at Lindenwood and Washington Universities, among others. Additionally, he touched many lives in his private practice as a therapist and mentor, continuing this work until his death. He was instrumental in the development of programs at the Creative Problem Solving Institute of Buffalo, New York. The City of St. Louis recognized his work on behalf of female crime victims, as well as his work with police officers suffering after traumatic experiences. Cliff is survived by his beloved wife and friend of 25 years, Eleanor Elli Rogers Jordan; his three children, Jennifer and Jeff (Robin) of St. Louis, and John (Connie) of Indiana; step-children Scott Bernoudy (Marjorie) of Vermont and Deane Hawkins (Mike) of St. Louis; grandchildren Jake, Brittany, Hannah, Kaitlyn, William, Lauren, Jamison, Tommy, Daniel, Madeline, Steven, Samuel and Mia; and his greatgrandchild Isaiah. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Cliff's name to St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Services: Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 17th, 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 110 N. Warson Rd. Reception to follow at the church.
