Colleen Michele McHale

McHale, Colleen Michele fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, reluctantly succumbed to breast cancer at her home in St Louis on April 24, 2013, leaving behind her grieving husband, Fred Buckley, beloved siblings Dan, Kathy (Tom Wolff), Tim (the late Michelle Estaque) and Maureen (Mike Salwasser); her dear Uncle Frank and Aunt Ruth Votruba and mother-in-law Mary Buckley; brothers and sisters-in-law Jim Buckley and Linda Johnson, Mike Buckley and Jamie Blum, Maria and Bob McMahon, many nieces, nephews and cousins all of whom held a special place in her heart; preceded by her parents Emmett and Anne (nee Votruba) McHale, her brother Mike McHale and fatherin-law, Dan Buckley. Colleen could light up a room with her smile and her sincere, gentle, loving ways garnered myriad friends as she traveled this life one day at a time. Colleen only wanted to help the people she met to be their best selves in the service of others. She will be sorely missed by all who loved and cared for her. Services: A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, on Sat. May 4, at 10 a.m. To help the battle against breast cancer, Colleen donated her body to St Louis University School of Medicine. In lieu of flowers, gifts to St. Vincent de Paul Society and Catholic Charities would be greatly appreciated. Special thanks to the OLS parish and our many friends for their generous support.
