Burnett, Helen Hume Helen Hume Burnett, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on All Souls' Day, Friday, November 2, 2012 and into the warm repose of Our Lord, aged 87 years at St. Louis, MO. Cherished wife of the late Richard Warren Burnett, married 64 years; beloved mother of Thomas Kevin Burnett and Richard Hume Burnett of St. Louis. Helen was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Garford Hume of St. Louis and dearest friend and sister of Mrs. Peggy Hume Wesner and her husband Joseph James Wesner of Dallas, TX; devoted grandmother of Elizabeth Lissie Burnett Tippett (Royce) and great-grandmother of Robert Thomas Tippett; dearest aunt of Joseph James Wesner, Jr. and John Garford Wesner and the late Mary Wesner Kimbell and the late Margaret Wesner, all of Dallas, TX. Helen studied Fine Art at Washington University and excelled in design and color in her everyday accomplishments. Beyond the domestic, Helen was the principal architectural reporter for McGraw Hill Publishing Co., New York, from which she retired. Helen was a volunteer for the St. Louis Cathedral Basilica, the Book Fair of St. Louis and KETCTV. Loved in life and she will be greatly missed by friends and family. Her courage, strength and dignity will remain heartfelt by all who knew and loved her. Services: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Clayton, 106 North Meramec Ave., at Maryland Ave., on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the Church beginning at 9:30 a.m., Saturday. Committal Service in the Bofinger Chapel at Christ Church Cathedral following the Mass.
