Krukowski, Marilyn age 80, died on April 7, 2013 of complications from multiple sclerosis. She was born May 3, 1932 in New York City, the daughter of Henry Denmark and Julia Lifshitz. Dr. Krukowski was a professor in the Department of Biology at Washington University for over 30 years. She was an influential and beloved member of the faculty. Her scientific research focused on bone development, growth and disease, and she was awarded two patents for her work on hard and soft tissue repair. Dr. Krukowski earned a BA from Brooklyn College, New York, in 1954 and a PhD from New York University
in 1962. She is survived by her husband Lucian Krukowski; her daughter Samantha, and granddaughter Zo. She will be forever missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
