Melinda Twichell

Twichell, Melinda of Stuart, Florida died on July 23, 2013. She was born in Oakland, California. She moved to Stuart from St. Louis, Missouri 14 years ago. She graduated from Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania with a degree in Economics and subsequently served on Wilson College's Board of Directors. Melinda was active in a variety of civic and community organizations throughout her life. She completed the Master Gardener Program and became a University of Florida Master Gardener. She then served as President of the Martin County Master Gardeners. Melinda served as Alderman for the Town of Clarkson Valley for ten years. She joined the Stuart Yacht and Country Club. Melinda worked as a Manager of Professional Development of a consortium of 45 Public School Districts in St. Louis. Subsequently, she joined the administrative team of College Counseling and Admissions at Whitfield School, a private St. Louis school. She is survived by her husband, Fred; daughter Stephanie; and sister Deborah Menke. Services: A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 3 pm at Stuart Congregational Church , 3110 SE Aster Ln Stuart, FL 34994,where Melinda was a member .
