Millard G. Krisman

Krisman, Millard G. January 16, 2013, at age 90. (Predeceased by his wife, Shirley) Beloved father of William Krisman (Ann) and Kathie Koenig (Tom), grandfather of Amy Cotton (Greg), Jeremy Leavitt (Maria), Tate Wood and Jonathan Krisman. Loving great-grandfather of Josephine, Robbie, Charlotte and Collin. Much-treasured friend to many. Millard's dance band, the Mil Krisman Orchestra, was widely popular in the St. Louis area (including the Casa Loma Ballroom) in the late 1930's and early 1940's. He loved playing the saxaphone. Mil was an avid artist. He attended the Ste. Genevieve Art Colony at age 14 and studied under Thomas Hart Benton and Oscar Thallinger. He devoted his entire career to running the family business, St. Louis Jewelry Co. Mil was a most enthusiastic bicyclist and golfer, continuing to do both until well into his 80's. He was a true gentleman and a man of great faith. He will be missed. Services: Memorial service February 9 at 11:00am, First Congregational Church of St. Louis, 6501 Wydown Blvd., in Clayton. Donations to FCC in lieu of flowers.
