R. John Haynes M.D.(1956 - 2014)

Haynes, R. John M.D. Deceased June 1, 2014, after a long and difficult illness at his home in Temecula, CA. John was born June 15, 1956 in Granite City, IL, where he was reared. He graduated from the University of Illinois, and then attended the University of Minnesota, where he earned a Master's Degree in genetics and taught genetics for several years. John received his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. After the completion of his medical studies, John initially practiced internal medicine in Chicago, IL for a short period. he then relocated to Southern California for the rest of his life, where he established and headed a group practice for many years. John is survived by his loving and grieving family, including his mother, Almeta M. Haynes of Collinsville, IL, and siblings, Cheryl L. Haynes of Collinsville, IL, and Air Wing Commander Richard L. Haynes, Ret. of Jacksonville, FL. Also surviving are his wife, Patrice, of Dallas, TX, and sons, John, currently serving with the U.S. Air Force, and Christopher of Temecula, CA. Services: A Memorial Service was held June 9, 2014 in Southern CA. John was a strong, committed Christian throughout his life, who lived for his Redeemer and Savior, Jesus Christ. May John rest in peace, and root for his beloved St. Louis Cardinals from a good seat, high above the playing field.
