Thelma Rose Naert

Naert, Thelma Rose (nee Mundwiller), age 100, on Sunday, June 23, 2013. Survived by loving husband of over 80 years, Joseph A. Naert. Mother of Gerre (Teresa) Naert, and the late Norma (Patrick) Maloney. Grandmother to Tim (Lisa) Maloney, Tina (Greg) Nightingale, Steve (Anita) Naert, Susan (Roland) Nalagan, Terri (Paul) Wieland, Ted (Mary) Maloney, Joe (Jennifer) Naert. Great-Grandmother to 21 and Great-Great Grandmother to 3. She was a loving sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt and will be remembered by friends and neighbors Thelma and Joe were both born in 1912 and grew up in South Saint Louis. They were married on February 18, 1933. The center of their large and loving family, theirs was an exceptional marriage marked by caring and kindness. They made tremendous memories for their children and grandchildren during the many years they spent together at their vacation lake house. Thelma was humorous and wise. She loved adventurous travel, flying with Charles Lindbergh several weeks before his renowned trans-Atlantic flight while a young girl, and vacationing with her sister to Europe during her eighties. We will all miss her deeply and will continue to take care of Grandpa Joe. Memorials appreciated to: Little Sisters of the Poor; 3225 Florissant Ave, St. Louis, MO 63107.
