William Edward Amos

Amos, William Edward Entered God's care on March 22, 2013, after several months of illness and hospital stays. He died peacefully at home surrounded by family members. Born in Altoona, Pa. on April 10, 1941, he was the son of the late Clair E. and Eleanor G. Amos. Bill is survived by his wife of 48 years, Frances E. Amos (nee Graeser); his daughter Lynn E. Morey (James), and his son Lewis E. Amos; grandchildren Lewis II, Michael, Leah, Rebecca, and Matthew, and step-grandchildren Aidan, Catherine, Sarah, and Emma; also sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends. A proud Penn State University Graduate with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, he worked for many years and retired from Emerson Electric-E&S division. He also umpired slow-pitch softball for the USSSA, loved dogs, and kept his railroad interests alive by collecting model trains, always with a special fondness for the PRR Keystone logo.
