William H. "Bill" McCormick

McCormick, William Bill H. loving son of the late Hugh B. and Clara Frances (nee Tiefenbrun) McCormick, passed away September 19, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital, at the age of 81. He is survived by numerous cousins, including Joanne Kruep, Jane Plumadore, Marjorie McCormick Fals, Mary Jo Oldham Morgan, and Charles Oldham, Jr. Bill was a life-time resident of St. Louis Hills. He was a graduate of Chaminade College Preparatory School and St. Louis University. Following graduation, he served as an officer with the U.S. Air Force in Europe in the Strategic Air Command. After his service, he joined his father's grain brokerage business at the Merchant's Exchange in St. Louis. Later, he was a stock broker with Reinhold Gardner in St. Louis, where his financial skills served him well. Bill will be missed by his many relatives, longtime friends, and fellow parishioners at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church where he was a parishioner for over 70 years. Services: Burial was private. There will be visitation on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 10am, followed by a special memorial Mass celebrating Bill's life at 11am, at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 6303 Nottingham Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri 63109. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chaminade College Preparatory School, St. Louis University, or St. Gabriel the Archangel Church.
