Purzner, Margaret Ann beloved wife of the late Paul H. Purzner, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012. Our most giving and loving mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend slipped from our arms to enter forever peace. Ann had the most vibrant personality and giving heart of any angel on earth. She said her greatest achievements were her beautiful family and her ability to serve others. Her generosity to all who had the pleasure in sharing her day-to-day life will always be remembered. Ann never met a stranger and had many devoted friends. Ann worked as a nurse for the Overland Medical Center for many years, and served as Alderman and Mayor of Overland. Her past volunteering efforts included Meals on Wheels, the Lions Club, and other community organizations. Without Ann, our hearts are broken and our tears endless, but our memories and joys are immeasurable. Her laughter, smile and sense of humor will never leave our memories. We will continue to see her in all the members of her loving family. Ann leaves behind on earth her children Patricia (Dennis) Barbeau, Richard Purzner, Theresa (John) Ballard, Suzan Carroll-Ramsey (Luther Ramsey), and JoAnn Purzner-Hansen: her granddaughters Jill (Bill) Barbeau Brockschink, and Amanda (Adam) Alderson; her great-granddaughters Kate and Ashley Brockschink, and Baby Alderson; her beloved sister Jimmie Lou Brogdon, and countless nieces and nephews, especially Charles (Anna) Young and Vicki Lynn Pryor, and family and friends who will never forget her spirit. She is now sitting on the fluffiest cloud with her husband, Paul, her great-grandson, Evan Patrick Alderson, her parents Ralph and Bonnie Lee, brothers and sisters, and many family and friends. Special thanks from our family go to Dr. Russell Eggebrecht, and the great team at BJC Hospice, especially Denise Hart and Peg Pippi. Your care for our dear Ann will never be forgotten. Rest, our beautiful Ann, till we meet again and know we will keep and protect your memories forever in our hearts and souls. Ann will live on forever as she chose giving the ultimate gift as a body donor to the Genesis Project in Memphis, TN. http://www.genesislegacy.org/
Memorial donations can be made to BJC Hospice or to the Virginia Chapter of the March of Dimes in the name of her great-grandson, Evan Patrick Alderson. www.marchofdimes.com/virginia/
It was Ann's wish not to have services, but to have her family sit down to a big dinner in her diningroom as we often did. You always told us, Love you more. Now, it is our chance to say, Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt, Friend¢$ºwe love you more¢$ºforever.
