Mom,
What a beautiful celebration we had yesterday in your memory. I know you were smiling down on all of us, especially your Christopher during the eulogy.
I will miss our morning and evening phone calls. Thank you for always being there and giving me your daily advice.
You had a great welcoming party waiting for you at those pearly gates; Dad, Johnny, Cheri, Tootsie, Carl, Nesha, and my Elizabeth and Don. Give everyone hugs from Britt and me.
I love and miss you deeply. Love always, Nancy aka #5

Dear Family and Friends, the funeral Mass was so peaceful and beautiful. I share in grief and loss. However I am better for knowing my loving "mom-in-law", although I never thought of her as my "in-law" mom. My visits to St Louis will not be the same without her. Love and hugs to all.

Arns Family,
All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Mrs Arns was such a sweet lady. I remember her from my grade schools days at MQP. Her sparkle and smile live on though her great grand child who still live in Glendale.(DJ Boys)

I was only 8 or 10 years old when I met Shirl on brother John's & my front porch on Patterson Ave. I ran into her arms & she hugged me. It was love at first sight. Shirl became my 'sister' & mentor. She also gave me courage & strengthened my Faith. I will miss her.

I was so glad I was able to see grandma this past February. We had a great time and when we said goodbye I think grandma knew then that this would be last time we would see each other. To all my aunts, uncles and cousins I wish I were stateside so that we could be together at this time. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Although I've known Shirley for too short a time, I have come to love her deeply and will miss our Sunday visit and coffee more than I can say. She has blessed my life. I am grateful to her and to all of her family members who have made me so welcome in your lives, including "Mary." God's peace to all of you as you celebrate your mother's beautiful life. Love and prayer, Sister Louise

After Grandma Tootsie passed away, Aunt Shirl seamlessly stepped in to become mother/grandmother for our family. She will be missed by many but I'm sure she's getting a warm welcome up in heaven. She was a genuine "doll"!

Still remember the day I took Tootsie & Shirley to Sams Club in in Des Plains to get a kitchen rug for Tootsie's kitchen, what a riot the two of them giggled most of the way there, in the store, and home again. It took me about 5 minutes to pick out the rug said to them what do you think girls? "Oh Jim it looks wonderful, bought it and we were done shopping! Good memories what a great lady she will be missed by all, just glad I had the opportunity to get to know her.
