Bobby Leon "Bob" Valentine Ph.D.

Valentine, Bobby Leon Bob, Ph. D. passed away, Saturday, June 22, 2013. Son of the late James Ellis Valentine, Sr. and Beatrice Bea Valentine (nee Brown) was born on Feb. 5, 1929 in Dry Prong, LA. He married Georgann Valentine (nee Murphy) on Sept. 3, 1955 in Pineville, LA. Beloved husband of the late Georgeann Valentine (nee Murphy). Loving father of James Joseph (Kristina Mary) Valentine. Dear grandfather of LilyAnn Marie Valentine and the late August James Valentine. Brother of Elma Louise Doodle Churchman and the late Thelma Olean McLaughlin and James Ellis Brother Valentine, Jr. Bob proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Korean War. He received his Bachelors Degree from Louisiana State College, his Masters Degree from Louisiana State University and his Ph. D. from Purdue University. He spent his career as a micro-biologist for Sherwood Medical. Bob loved vegetable gardening, fishing for Crappie Sac Au Lait, Deer Hunting and genealogy with his wife. He will be loved and missed. Services: Funeral service at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Thursday, 10:00 a.m. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
